I aim to capture the soul, the magic that exist in between the moments. To capture and freeze a soul moment, you must allow the moment to flow freely. There's no overly forced poses, no fighting to get the perfect shot. Perfection is already there, its in the way their eyebrows wrinkle, how yours go soft when they ask for that thing they aren't really supposed to have, when their little hands find comfort being in yours.

I believe that we can create beautiful pieces of art while at the same time, staying in our truth. We can plan something in a gorgeous environment or try out a cute idea you've been thinking about forever, all while staying true to who you and your family are. As Michaelanglo said, "“The sculpture is already complete within the marble block, before I start my work. It is already there, I just have to chisel away the superfluous material.” This is exactly how I view my family shoots. The good stuff is already there, it's the soul of your family. It's not through forced poses or expressions. It's my job, the thing I'm really good at, to find the beauty that is already there, waiting to be witnessed and documented. If you just trust me, let go of expectations, and focus on connecting with your favorite people, the magic you are looking for will no doubt manifest itself.
