Yes! My assistant helps me with so much more than being a second shooter, they assist with gear set up, lugging heavy lenses around, filling our empty water bottles , and of course, make sure we are eating plenty of snacks! I believe every wedding photographer should come as a team! There is so much happening and having a second pair of creative hands and eyes in capturing moments and details that I am unable to be is essential. And finally, all art direction and editing is done by me!

The amount of hours you have me shooting your wedding will ultimately dictate the number of images I will be able to deliver. I do not provide a cut off number as I do not hold any images back! I promise to fully capture and deliver all of the magic of the day. You can expect a minumum of 50 images per hour that I am there.

For weddings north of Corolla and south of Waves, there are varying travel fees based of distanced needed to be traveled! I do travel to all 50 states and all around the world for love. Please note, I do not accept weddings that: take place on a plantation, involve cotton fields or raw cotton, include the use of Native American Headdress, or showcase real fur.

While I tend to have a more off the cuff, candid, and emotionally driven shooting style, we will go over a personalized shot list in advance in order to prioritize what the most important moments for you and your family will be on your wedding day!

Weddings are beautiful for many reasons, one if them is because of it serving as a place where your entire family will be in one place, at one time! Believe it or not, family photos are the most technical part of the day from a wedding photographer's standpoint. We will work together prior to the wedding to build a family shot list so that we can work efficiently and quickly on your wedding day, and so that no combination of loved ones are forgotten!

The engagement shoot not only provides you with some beautiful, non wedding images, it allows us to get to know each other a little bit more, making working together on your wedding day more fun and relaxed! These sessions are about 2-3 hours and can be as formal or laid back as you'd like. Since most of my weddings are destination, half of my couples aren't able to meet me before their wedding, so don't stress about it too much! I can travel to your state for a shoot as well if needed, just let me know!

Rain or shine, wet or dry, we'll be there capturing the magic.

Lucky for me, I rarely get sick. I will be at your wedding, no questions asked. However, in the case of some uncontrollable or tragic event, I will do my best to provide a replacement photographer of equal caliber. If I can't make it to your wedding your money will be refunded!

If you’ve already put a deposit down on a date then have to move/cancel it, the deposit is legally non-refundable and a new deposit will have to be made in order to hold your new date. However, in the case of a hurricane, tropical storm, or other force of nature not uncommon on the Outer Banks and other coastal areas, Kasey will waive any fee in order to reschedule your wedding date. This is handled on a case by case basis!

I may take a few moments during quite times to change some of my equipment, or chat with the wedding planner about the next event, but I like to stay moving as there is always a moment worth capturing! I do require a meal to be provided so that our energy stays as high as it can be for your big day. While some photographers may be able to go 6-10 hours without eating, I am not one of them (I am a snacker)! I do suggest providing the meal directly after the bridal party, most photos of people eating isn't particularly flattering, and this time while your guest are eating allows me to be finished and ready to go for the next event.

Yes, as your professional wedding photographer, I will retain copyright of all your wedding images, however I always provide an official copyright release for you allowing unlimited personal use and printing of your wedding photos. If you would like to submit your wedding photos for commercial use in the future, for example in a bridal publication, I will be happy to work with you to make something like this happen!
